The Blandford Forum branch of Clark's shoe shop closed on Monday 22nd April, with staff having been given four days' notice.

Jill Cornick began working at the store when she was 14 and has now retired at the age of 82. Her 68 years at Blandford Clarks included becoming manager for a number of years and even raising her son in the flat above the shop.

A Clarks spokesperson said: "We sincerely thank all members of the Blandford Forum store team for their contributions and commitment to providing outstanding customer service - specifically Jill, whose remarkable and unprecedented 68 years of service and dedication to our customers is hugely valued by all at Clarks. We wish Jill all the very best."
