Candidates for Staffs Police, Fire and Crime boss grilled

Staffordshire goes to the polls on Thursday 2 May to vote for who they want to be the next Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

We invited the three candidates to meet a panel of voters to hear their concerns.

The candidates are; Ben Adams for the Conservatives, Alastair Watson for Labour and Alec Sandiford for the Liberal Democrats.

Mr Sandiford was called to a family emergency moments before this recording and was unable to join the debate. We spoke to him separately, before airing the debate and his contribution is at the end of this recording.

The debate was hosted by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Stoke's Stuart George, with analysis from James Treadwell, professor in criminology at Staffordshire University.
