Hereford woman’s ‘nightmare’ surgery in Turkey
Chloe Quick is stuck in Turkey, after weight-loss surgery went dramatically wrong, and left her fighting for her life.
The Hereford mum works at the County Hospital and travelled to Istanbul for a gastric 'sleeve', a procedure where a private surgeon would shrink her stomach.
The botched operation led to major blood loss, a ruptured spleen and a medically induced coma. Medics told her father that Chloe had only a 50-50 chance of survival.
The family have since had to spend over £5,000 for emergency treatment as she battles to regain full health.
Our reporter Tom Edwards went to see Chloe's best friend, Leah Mattson, in Hereford.
