Dad hopes girl’s story will prevent other deaths
Jonathan Scott-Lee remembers his autistic daughter, Caitlyn, who took her own life. Caitlyn Scott-Lee was studying at Wycombe Abbey boarding school, Buckinghamshire, at the time of her death. She had been due to have her first detention after alcohol was found in her possession. Senior coroner Crispin Butler concluded there was "no evidence" that anything would have assisted the school "in identifying what was to tragically happen on the evening of April 21 last year (2023)”. Recording the cause of death as suicide, he added that right up until that late point, no one other than Caitlyn could have - or should have - known what was going to happen.
