Jazmin Sawyers on her Olympic injury heartbreak: 'I felt the year slip away'
Jazmin Sawyers is one of Team GB's biggest track and field stars, but the 2023 European Indoor long jump champion won't be competing at the Paris 2024 Olympics this summer due to an achilles injury.
Jazmin spoke to 5 Live Breakfast about the moment she ruptured her achilles.
"In a five second time period, I felt the year slip away."
Jazmin says she questioned whether her career was over - but she still has hope.
"I have a training partner [Katarina Johnson-Thompson] who had that injury and she came back a few years later to be world champion," she says.
