Meet the SEND parent who's a new Nuneaton Borough councillor
Labour has taken control of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council for the first time since 2018 in the 2024 local elections.
It was a huge swing for Labour in Nuneaton, and Conservative deputy leader, Clare Golby, lost her seat.
She is one of three councillors who are currently being investigated over comments made about children with special educational needs and disabilities earlier this year. The comments outraged parents, and the councillors did apologise.
Clare lost her seat to Christian Smith, who is himself a SEND parent, he spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR's Phil Upton about his plans now that he has been elected.
