
Beth Mead on equal access to football pitches
Over half of female footballers have booked football pitches only to find they’ve been reallocated to men’s teams, according to a new study from Starling Bank.
Speaking to Nuala McGovern on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Lioness and Arsenal forward Beth Mead said that this is having a ‘massive effect’ on the next generation of footballers, and that there’s still more to be done to break down barriers and support girls and women to play football.
