Star Wars actor: Cyber-bullying led me to a dark place
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. It was the first in a series of prequel films to the successful original trilogy. It also introduced the well-meaning but clumsy alien Jar Jar Binks played by Ahmed Best. He provided the voice and motion capture for the CGI alien but his performance sparked criticism online - taking the actor to what he described as a very dark place. But as he told Weekend's Julian Worricker, Ahmed Best has come to accept and celebrate his role in the film franchise.
