Motorists are being warned of "unavoidable delays" as major works to upgrade Tarbock Island, off the M62 in Knowsley, take place.

The roundabout, at junction six, is set to be widened and the number of lanes on the approach increased over the next two years to improve connectivity and flow of traffic.
