Hidden Essex: Hi-de-Hi! campers
Janey Nice reminisces about living and working on the Warners holiday camp in Dovercourt with her family, where the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ sitcom Hi-de-Hi! was filmed. The site near Harwich opened in 1937 and shortly afterwards was requisitioned by the British government to house children who'd been evacuated from Germany by the Kindertransport programme.
