Taking the temperature in the lead up to the biggest traditional Gypsy fair in Europe which is an important date in the travellers calendar. This colourful event held between Thursday the 6th, and Sunday the 9th of June, attracts large crowds to the quiet market town to watch the horses being washed in the River Eden, and trotted down 'Flashing Lane'.
