Leah Elwin: A mother's fight to change the law
15 year old Leah Elwin from Northallerton died in 2019 after taking MDMA. For her mum Kerry, it also made her determined to make sure that dealing drugs to minors was taken more seriously by the justice system. After years of campaigning her hard work has paid off. Thirsk & Malton MP Kevin Hollinrake introduced a bill in 2022 and this week Kerry found out that it's led to a change in the law regarding sentencing for such offences. (Image: Family photo)
