D-Day 80: Warwickshire's Cecil Jeffcoate
The D-Day landings took place on 6 June 1944 during World War Two.
The landings marked the start of the campaign to free north-west Europe from German occupation.
Soldiers from Coventry and Warwickshire in the Royal Warwickshire regiment played a pivotal role that day.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR's Richard Williams is heading to Normandy for the 80th anniversary, he's been on a mission to find out more about a local man who was on one of the very first gliders to land on French soil, Cecil Jeffcoate.
