Archived: 40 year old Lowry interviews discovered
LS Lowry is one of Britain’s most recognisable artists who captured scenes of Salford's urban landscapes, and is best known for his matchstick men paintings.
Before he died he was befriended by a lady named Angela Bogg.
After a chance request to meet Lowry, she recorded over 20 hours of conversation with him.
For over 40 years those recordings lay unheard and untouched in her loft in Chorlton.
Now, her son has shared his mum’s story with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Manchester's Suzanne Hailey.
