The Labour leader of Southend City Council gives an update on the latest with the Southend United takeover.

The Consortium set to take over Southend United has set out new conditions for the city's Council and the club's current owner Ron Martin to meet following delays to the deal being done.

The group headed by Australian businessman Justin Rees exchanged contracts for the sale of the club back in December and, since then, have invested 拢3.5million into the Shrimpers.
