Over 900,000 people in the UK are currently living with dementia, and after a diagnosis, many want to be able to continue to live independently. Iona meets 85-year-old Mike, who was diagnosed with the condition in 2019. Whilst Mike continues to live on his own, he has faced some financial challenges, including being targeted by scammers.

Finance expert Iona Bain finds out the new ways people with Dementia can remain safely independent, including an app that means family and friends can monitor their loved one's bank accounts.
