Georgia Bell won the women's 1500m silver in the European Athletics Championships.

She spoke to 5 Live Breakfast about the race and her 鈥渨hirlwind鈥� of a year.

鈥淚 just dug deep in the last hundred metres and yeah, I was really happy to come away with a medal.鈥�

Georgia said she started the year 鈥渦nranked and unsponsored鈥� and has achieved a lot after taking several years out of sport. She鈥檚 now a sponsored athlete with a European silver under her belt.

The Brit took a sabbatical over the summer to focus on running.

鈥淲hen I was at the start line, I was just like, I could be having the Sunday scaries at work.鈥�
