Cyber attack – Why London needs O blood type-donors
Critical incidents have been declared at King's, Guy's & St Thomas's, the Royal Brompton, and Evelina Children's Hospital due to a suspected Russian cyber attack on a pathology services provider.
The NHS is urgently appealing for blood donors to book appointments to replenish stocks of O Positive and O Negative blood. Professor Dee Thiruchelvam is the Chief Nursing Officer at NHS Blood and Transplant, and unpicks the disruption it's caused.
