Former captain of the Afghanistan Women's National Football team Khalida Popal tells Naga Munchetty about creating the first football league for women in Afghanistan.

Khalida is the founder of Girl Power, a programme which uses sport to empower and motivate women through sport.

鈥淚 took the game into schools and started a campaign and movement together with my mother and other girls.鈥�

鈥淚t took a long time鈥� we made history playing and representing Afghanistan for the first time.鈥�
