Schoolboy taken to hospital after vaping incident
A child, taken to hospital after reportedly using a vape in one Leicestershire school, has now been discharged
Students at Humphrey Perkins School were confined to their classrooms for about half an hour on Wednesday as Emergency Crews dealt with the patient.
East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed it was called, saying one patient was taken by ambulance to Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Leicestershire Police also attended, with the force saying it is working with the school “to further understand the circumstances of what happened”. The school has since said the student “is now stable” and an investigation is continuing into why he fell ill.
