What’s the point of flies?
Listener Collin from Barbados asks if flies benefit us in any way. Dr. Erica McAlister, curator of flies at the Natural History Museum in London, responds by explaining just how important they are as decomposers. She tells Caroline Steel that “flies are the original hipsters... the recyclers” Without them the world would be full of dead bodies and faeces!
