Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found dead in a cul-de-sac. Locals say the incident has left them 'shocked'.

Shortly after 4am on Monday, police officers were called to a property in Chestnut Spinney, where they found a 49-year-old woman with 'unexplained injuries'. She died at the scene.

A man aged 42 was arrested on suspicion of murder, as Tom Edwards reports.

Sam Cookson lives a few doors away from the scene of the investigation and said it's nothing like the street has seen before.
