Hull’s last bomb site to become memorial
The remains of the National Cinema are to be restored as a memorial. Miraculously, no one was hurt when the cinema was bombed in 1941 whilst the audience watched a Charlie Chaplin film. Leanne Brown has been talking to Hilary Byers of the National Civilian World War Two Trust and Hull City Councillor Rob Pritchard.
