The countdown is on for our Make a Difference awards in September – celebrating people in Leicestershire and Rutland who go above and beyond.

We’ve had hundreds of nominations - and every week until the big day you can hear some of the stories behind the finalists.

All this week, you'll be meeting the nominees in the Community Award, which recognises an individual or group of people who have helped to genuinely change the lives of others within their community.

Reiss Thomson started the 'Brotherhood Legion' with a mission to bring men together and improve their mental health through physical activity. Matt Smith joined them on one of their retreats for a spot of Yoga.
