The countdown is on for our Make a Difference awards in September – celebrating people in Leicestershire and Rutland who go above and beyond.

We’ve had hundreds of nominations - and every week until the big day you can hear some of the stories behind the finalists.

All this week, you'll be meeting the nominees in the Community Award, which recognises an individual or group of people who have helped to genuinely change the lives of others within their community.

Team Hub was set up to provide community support and services for the people of New Parks. But by putting power in the hands of volunteers from the community, they are transforming the area. Matt Smith went to meet the team.
