Rutland lifeguards reunited with man they saved
A man who survived a heart attack at a Rutland water park has been reunited with the lifeguards who saved him.
64 year old Dave Francis was visiting the Rutland Aqua Park when he suffered a life-threatening cardiac arrest. Dave's wife Sheryl saw him collapse and called for help.
Lifeguards George and Reuben, both 17, alongside duty manager Nathan, sprung into action to give Dave CPR. Alongside Aqua Park manager Charlotte, the four of them continued CPR and used a defibrillator for over 20 minutes to save Dave’s life. It was only George's first day working as a lifeguard, and also Reuben's second ever shift at the park.
Now Dave has been reunited with those who saved his life. Reporter Giles Taylor has been to meet them.
