Grammy Award-winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre, who has a premiere of his own at this year’s Proms, selects his personal highlights from the season including Songs and Dances from the Kanneh-Masons, the Proms Choral Day, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra with Sir Simon Rattle playing Mahler, and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.

Plus more highlights from the opening weeks of the Proms season, with recordings and live performances from some of the soloists and orchestras appearing at the Royal Albert Hall this year, including violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, cellist Senja Rummukainen, the Swingles, pianists Yunchan Lim and Seong-Jin Cho, and the Sinfonia of London with conductor John Wilson.
