One park which has had a lot of publicity during recent years is Rimrose Valley Country Park, between Crosby and Litherland.

Since 2017, a proposed route has been planned, called the A5036 Port of Liverpool Access Scheme. A 200 million pound dual carriageway through Rimrose Valley which would help to ease traffic around the Port of Liverpool.
