    How to spot a meteor
The annual Perseid meteor shower is is renowned as one of the most spectacular celestial events of the year.
The showers typically happen between 27 July and 23 August.
Professor Chris Lintott from The Sky at Night has been giving ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Oxford's Sophie Law some tips for those hoping to see the action.
