    Snails lead to a row about tax avoidance?
A Liverpool city centre building is under investigation for allegedly housing a "snail farm" in an effort to reduce business rates.
Authorities found 15 crates of snails on the premises, raising suspicions that the setup was intended to exploit a tax loophole.
Under current law, this could qualify as "agricultural use" and this part of the building would arguably be exempt from business rates.
