Roydon villagers battle power plant plan
People in villages in and around Roydon and Nazeing on the Essex/Hertfordshire border are campaigning against plans to build a gas-powered electricity plant in the area.
Statera Energy have submitted plans to build what's known as a "peaking plant" in Dobb’s Weir – which will only be turned on when the National Grid requires more energy in the system.
Epping Forest District Council will make a decision on the application following a consultation, which finishes at the end of August.
Matt Knight met some of the campaigners, while Ian Puckey heard from the energy company.
