The disappearance of Glenn Miller in Bedfordshire
The 1940s big band leader stepped onto a plane at Twinwood and was never seen again. Glenn Miller and his orchestra were based in Bedford during the Second World War and regularly used near-by RAF Twinwood Airfield. On December 15th 1944, he boarded an aircraft to leave for France. To this day, no one really knows what happened to him. Every year, the Twinwood Festival is held at Clapham, Bedfordshire - Lola Lamore is the host for the 2024 event.
