The widow of the Barrow legend, Dave Myers, is asking people to celebrate the late Hairy Biker's birthday by "giving a Dave Day" with an act of kindness.

Thousands of people travelled to Cumbria to celebrate his life in June for Dave Day, following his death earlier in the year after being diagnosed with cancer.

On the Dave Day Facebook group, Dave Myers' widow Lili posted "If you are in a position to give, can you please make a gift to someone you love, or someone from this group, or even to someone you don't know".

Hundreds of people have replied.
