'Please support the playgrounds to keep them open'
The future of Leicester's adventure playgrounds have been debated by city councillors.
A petition with over 9 thousand signatures lodged by campaigners with Leicester City Council was discussed, as concerns continue about funding for the playgrounds.
The council, which pays £1m a year towards the running of the playgrounds, said they needed to be become "self-sustaining" sites, and would only fund the playgrounds for another year.
Bethan Lloyd runs the Adventure Playground in Braunstone and has been telling ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Leicester's Ady Dayman why the playgrounds should stay open.
