Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire to close
The charity says it's 'devastated' that it will close its doors at the end of September 2024, due to what it calls 'severe financial challenges, including rising operating costs and diminishing funding opportunities'.
This branch of Age UK supported more than 15,000 older people in our area in 2023, according to CEO Julia Neal. They say they will work with partners, local charities and the national charity to ensure as many clients as possible receive assistance.
Matt Hutchinson reports from the charity's headquarters in Hindlip, near Worcester.
