Last year, Middlesbrough art gallery, MIMA had an exhibition showcasing a number of artists work with the theme: Stories from the River Tees.

Now, an edit of that gallery will be heading to London, to be showcased in the National Portrait Gallery.

MIMA's Learning Curator spoke to Gary Philipson.
