'My family didn't know if I was alive or dead'
In 1991 North Shields-born John Nichol was shot down and captured by Iraqi forces.
The former RAF Tornado Navigator and Gulf War prisoner-of-war has been sharing his story with Tom Campbell.
He also explains how the story of an anonymous fallen soldier inspired his latest book and how he's bringing these lost stories to Sunderland.
