Unearthing modern slavery in Cambridgeshire
A ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ investigation has discovered multiple signs of slavery were missed, after nine men were trafficked from the Czech Republic and forced to work at a McDonald’s restaurant in Caxton by a criminal gang between 2015 and 2019.
Other victims were enslaved and put to work at a factory supplying bread products to six major food retailers.
Jon Ironmonger has more details.
