Behind-the-scenes at ‘historic’ Trimpley reservoir
Take an exclusive tour of the man-made lake and 'hidden treasure' on the River Severn, which feeds water all over the West Midlands, and starred in the 1978 film '39 Steps'.
The incredible feat of engineering deep in the Worcestershire countryside, between Kidderminster and Arley, has been used as a backdrop for film sets, including 'The Elephant Man'.
Trimpley Reservoir is celebrating its 60th anniversary, with the 29-acre Severn Trent Water site a much different site than when the first spade went in to the ground in 1964.
Tom Edwards reports.
