The worst-performing water companies have been ordered to return 拢158m to customers via lower bills next year. It comes after they missed key targets on pollution and leaks. It鈥檚 the fourth year in a row that the regulator Ofwat has told firms to make repayments, but it鈥檚 thought any reduction would be dwarfed by the expected long-term increase of 拢94 per household over the next five years.
