Rick Astley on leaving and returning to music
Legendary 1980s pop star Rick Astley spoke to 5 Live鈥檚 Rachel Burden and Rick Edwards about the significant moments in his career, including when he took a hiatus from the industry.
He said: 鈥淵ou just end up thinking, I鈥檝e got a daughter at home, I can have a different life, I鈥檓 not really loving this. And I felt guilty because I was an 80s pop star, I should be loving it but I kind of felt it鈥檚 just time to walk away.鈥�
When asked about his return to music in the 2000s, he said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 just part of my DNA, I like doing it and I鈥檓 still the same with that. I don鈥檛 think that鈥檚 ever left me. I just fell out love with the music business, not music鈥�.
