'I was flabbergasted and in shock'
A couple who were due to hold their wedding reception at a luxury hotel said they were 'flabbergasted' when emails arrived telling them and their guests that the venue would be going into liquidation.
Stapleford Park Hotel in Leicestershire has ceased trading with immediate effect and cancelled all its bookings.
Amie Henson and Dan Lee, who had paid a £3,000 deposit, found out that their booking had been cancelled on Wednesday.
The venue, which has hosted a number of celebrities including late US pop star Michael Jackson, said it was "sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused".
Amie Henson and Dan Lee spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Leicester's Ady Dayman, and financial expert Joe Green explained what the protections are when pre-paid services like these are cancelled.
