Remembering Geoff Capes
Geoff Capes, the British shot put record holder, two-time world's strongest man, and former Peterborough police officer, has died aged 75.
He grew up in Holbeach in South Lincolnshire, and served with Cambridgeshire Constabulary for 10 years.
In 1976, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Tonight programme spent some time with him as he prepared for the 1976 Montreal Olympics by lifting tonnes of weights, consuming countless calories and taking care of his beloved budgies:
