Sue Hughes from Birkenhead was scammed when her best friend of 25 years, pretended to be her lover.
She lost over one hundred thousand pounds.
Romance scams, sometimes known as Catfishing, are one of the top 5 fraud crimes reported to Action Fraud, with a 蜜芽传媒 Report saying that it鈥檚 increased by up to 60% over the last 4 years.
