Race against time to fix road damaged by badgers
Badgers have caused thousands of pounds of damage to a major road in Mablethorpe after digging a sett beneath it.
Repairs to the A52 at Seaholme Road have to be completed before the start of the mammals' mating season at the end of November. If not, the road will have to remain closed throughout winter.
Because badgers are a protected species, the work can only be carried out under a special licence from Natural England.
