'The longstanding inequalities Paralympians face'
Hereford's Dan Pembroke opens up on the differences in treatment between Olympic and Paralympic stars.
The double men's F13 Javelin Paralympic champion, winning and setting the record at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024, said he felt 'hurt' after members of Paralympics GB were not invited to an exclusive after-party at department store Fortnum & Mason, whilst those of Team GB were.
In a statement to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½, Fortnum & Mason has apologised for the 'mistake' and said that a separate Paralympics event is being organised. A spokesperson said there had been a failure of communication on their part, and that they are truly sorry.
