Alan Dedicoat: Becoming 'The Voice of the Balls'
The veteran Worcestershire-born announcer reflects on his time at The National Lottery, working with Angela Rippon to announce the numbers every week on prime time TV.
Born in Hollywood near Wythall, Alan Dedicoat reminisces on the bus routes he would go on, going to school at King's Heath and being a huge fan of the Midland Red Bus. He's now a patron of the Wythall Transport Museum.
Alan tells Tammy Gooding how he's barred from playing the lottery, and how the gig came from doing various continuity announcements on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TV through the 1980s. He was already inside our heads!
