Worcestershire village 'preventing flood repeat'
In 2018, a month's rain fell in the space of one hour, flooding 100 properties, and forcing families out of their homes in Wythall.
Six years on from those dramatic events, a special pond is being created, to help prevent any repeats of that awful day, which left a repair bill of £10million.
The storage pond will sit at the bottom of Sycamore Drive, which was one of the worst hit areas of the flash floods, as five feet of water was seen cascading down the road.
Tom Edwards reports.
The work will take a month to complete, with Bromsgrove District Council saying it's been funded by the Regional Flood & Coastal Committee.
