Conclave director says film is a 'political thriller'
The film Conclave dramatises the tense days leading up to the election in the Vatican of a new Pope. It tells the story of the backroom conspiracies and papal intrigue involved in electing the pontiff.
It's been adapted from Robert Harris’ bestselling 2016 novel and stars Ralph Fiennes, Isabella Rossellini and Stanley Tucci. Weekend's Julian Worricker spoke to the director Edward Berger about the film.
