The para-canoeist who won gold in Paris picks up the Sports Personality of the Year prize.

She first became Paralympic champion in Tokyo in 2021 just three years after joining the World Class Programme.

She retained the women鈥檚 KL3 title in Paris last summer.

Laura Sugar was named Active Essex's Sports Personality of the Year at the 2024 Activity Awards held at Hatfield Place on 5th December 2024.
